Thanksgiving has come and gone, and while many families enjoyed feasts and fellowship, only some are so fortunate. Every year, countless Baltimore families don’t have the means to enjoy the delights of Thanksgiving. The 53 Families Foundation aims to give those families that experience, and TruCares was delighted to be part of the effort this year.
Founded in 2010 by former Ravens player Jameel McClean, the 53 Families Foundation has a core objective to provide resources that will allow the community’s youth to achieve success. Every year, they organize a free Thanksgiving Dinner featuring children’s activities, appearances by Baltimore Ravens players, and a delicious feast! TruCares helped financially sponsor this year’s event, and several of our employees happily volunteered their time at the dinner, both eager to provide food and unforgettable experiences to Baltimore youth.
